With our upcoming move back to the US in December, we’re trying to capture as many memories as possible. One way to do this is to record some of our daily activities through an Instagram app called Hyperlapse.
Here’s a quick glimpse at our Nicaragua morning commute to school each day. The road we take is typically referred to as the “cow path” or “cow road,” due either to the fact that cows are sometimes spotted using this trail to move from one location to another, or perhaps to the idea that the “road” often resembles more of an animal trail than a thoroughfare for vehicles.
Each morning, we share the road with buses, taxis, pedestrians, and a variety of animals. It’s never a dull morning!
So without further ado, here’s a view of our morning commute. (Oh and please excuse my dirty windshield.) The original video is about 20 minutes long, but Hyperlapse speeds it up to just over 2 minutes.
P.S. Since some people have asked, I used the iMagnet Dashboard Mount to capture this. I really like how the magnet “snaps” the phone to the mount, and that it can easily be connected without fumbling with latches or hooks (like most other dashboard mounts). Here’s the link if you’re interested:
